Pfleger & Farrakan: Peas in a Pod |
Failed New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, a man responsible for the deaths of more blacks than the average Ku Klux Klan member, describes in his new book how he feared being taken out by a CIA poison dart attack.
He sadly and shamelessly engages in the continued propagandizing of the New Orleans tragedy, where Dick Cheney ordered the levees destroyed by Halliburton cannons because he hates black people. Add in blackwater stormtroopers and racist cops, and we lose sight of the salient facts that could actually teach us something:
The New Orleans Police Department was dirty, and it was dirty before the disaster. FEMA is incompetent, and our government way overmilitarizes everything, especially during such natural disasters. Every swinging federal worker and local goomba on a payroll has to deck himself out like a Navy Seal hunting the Taliban in the wilds of Afghanistan, when what the people really need are food, clean water, shelter, transportation, and medical assistance
We already knew the candy-brained mayor of Chocolate City was an indecisive, simpering fool, but here is what caught my eye:
At a news conference Wednesday, the mayor-turned-disaster consultant called writing the book a “therapeutic” experience. (NOLA - Nagin Paranoia)Ray Nagin is now a disaster consultant??? What does he do, consult on how to create them? Teach courses on how to make them worse? Does he explain how to cower in an air conditioned hotel while your citizens are drowning or trapped in a fetid nightmare? Does he explain how to dither instead of performing a simple evacuation?
I don't know how the media can report this stuff with a straight face. This is sick. Any government that hires this man should be charged with fraud, waste and abuse.
Bush Relieved: Liberals Now Blaming Palin for Everything
If this isn't enough for you, you can go here to read about how Rahm Emanuel's Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy preaches to Chicago's God Damn America crowd. The video is there also. Of course, it takes place at Father Pfleger's church, the man who shows us that white demagogues can do the race hustle just a well as a Jackson or Sharpton.
Violence is rampant in Chicago, you know, that place where Obama did all the community organizing? So who's fault is it, according to Chicago's top cop? Whitey, of course! McCarthy gets the crowd going sometime after the five minute mark.
"Government sponsored racism"Oh how they cheered for that! The music cranks up as the people get to their feet
"Rich gun owners living in gated communities"A chorus of amens
"Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children,"Oh yeah! He's got 'em going now! Here's the grand finale:
McCarthy illustrated his point by recalling a crime scene investigation while he was a police official in Newark, New Jersey where five children were shot, two of whom were killed. McCarthy said when he got home, he turned on his television to unwind and found an episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" showing.I was waiting for him to actually accuse Sarah Palin of hunting and killing black people on GOP-sponsored inner city safaris, but the video ended.
"She was caribou hunting and talking about the right to bear arms. Why wasn't she at the crime scene with me?"
This is sick and disgusting and it perfectly illustrates what is wrong with our nation
It's everyone's fault but the people involved. Can't blame the cops, can't blame the corrupt Crook County government, and you certainly can't blame the irresponsible parents who spawn the little murderers, and the last people in line for blame are the criminals themselves. That's a broken society, from top to bottom.
We don't hold people accountable. Not in government and not in their own personal lives. On 9/11 over 3,000 people were killed yet nobody was fired. Nagin kills his city and many of its citizens, yet he's now an expert with a book tour, speaking engagements, and a consultancy. Chicago suffers under the corrupt Democratic Machine, but it's Sara Palin's fault.
We are stupid. We are stupid for rewarding incompetence and bad behavior. We are stupid for putting up with such bald-faced demagoguery. Why are we going down the toilet? Why do conspiracy suckers believe they are being oppressed? Why do we make such poor decisions at the ballot box? Garbage in, garbage out.

If somebody had told me three years ago that America would have gone down the path of collective stupidity, I'd have been incredulous.
But look where we are now!
Incompetent asshats and racists are running the show.
I'd like to know what was this liberal hack, McCarthy, watching Sarah Palin's Alaska for anyways... for material.
And then there was this "Why wasn't she at the crime scene with me?"
Did he pick up the phone, at the crime scene, and call her? :)
It's always someone else fault.
Like Palin wrote the second amendment?!?
If people aren't held responsible for feeding, clothing, educating, housing, and caring for themselves...
How can you, in your wildest dreams, hold them responsible for anything else?
Just a thought.
It's totally whitey's fault, right? I mean nevermind the whole gangsta rap culture, and how black rap artists themselves bust their rhymes about how awesome it is to be gangsta.
I actually met a guy that thought black gangsta rappers were actually tools of the government to keep down young black men in America. He was a high school principle . . .
Do these anti-gun nuts think that the only people who own guns are the nutjobs who intend to use their firearms for nefarious purposes? Did this jackass actually stop and ask himself "why do the rich white people stay hunkered down in their gated community with their guns?" Could it be perhaps that they'd rather not be stuck in dangerous situations?
I do't have the statistics to back up this assertion, but I'd be willing to bet that over 80% of gun violence that occurs stems from criminal activity that is going on before the gun is even fired at anyone, ie. gang violence, drug violence, etc..
What these fools don't realize is that the people comitting these crimes are going to get their guns whether the government says they can or not. How many gang-bangers you think got their pieces from a reputable gun shop? I'm sure they all were completely okay with subjecting themselves to background checks and what not.
This post, along with AOW’s expose about gang violence in Peoria, IL … tells us that this country is moving toward serious civil confrontation; the left would like nothing better. Whether you are speaking of the idiocy of Ray Nagin, a criminal of the first order, or the treason associated with Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan, or the wogs who terrorized neighborhoods in Illinois, or the flash-rob gangs in DC, Las Vegas, and other places … the conflict will have seriously racial over-tones. I think it will be possible precisely because the left has been setting this up since the 1960s; manufacturing three generations of dim-bulbs through revisionist history and progressive education. And of course, it won’t be anyone’s fault except white America, who had it coming.
Well, Nagin's a screwball, always was, but you can't blame him for the levees failing.
New Orleans problems always superceded race. As you said, the town was infamously corrupt. And if you know your American history, you know that the minorites who emigrated to New Orleans since before it was part of the country have always been isolated, disenfranchised and poor. New Orleans has always had these problems, regardless of who ran the city.
Chicago is a different story. Chicago, as you should well know, has long been a hub for America's meat and produce industries. For over a generation now, these industries have been hiring undocumented immigrants, mostly Mexicans, to do the work. Chicago now has a huge population of illegal aliens. These workers have displaced the old black workforce which had done these jobs since the great northern migrations. Displaced and umemployed, combined with an essentailly slave labor force of illegal aliens, Chicago is suffering a double-whammy criminal impetus.
Though blaming "whitey" for their problems may seem a little anachronistic, you do have to remember the history with all that as well. The bosses of Chicago's government and services were infamously clanish and racist, and that legacy remains to some extent.
Of course, none of this is proof that liberals will be the "death" of anyone. Firstly, neither Ray Nagin nor the Chicago establishment is all that "liberal." And secondly, these rhetorical escapades are not all that serious. Yes, there are serious matters at play here, but the word "liberal" is a non-sequitur.

but there's good news on the horizon,
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is in a fragile position as the 2012 campaign begins: Only 37 percent of registered voters approve of his handling of the economy, his lowest rating ever, according to a new McClatchy-Marist poll.
Another ominous sign for Obama: By nearly 2-1, voters disapprove of how he’s handling the federal budget deficit, expected to hit a record $1.5 trillion this fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30.
“It’s a real caution sign . . . the four-year lease on the White House is very much dependent on how people end up looking at the economy,” said Lee Miringoff, the director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, which performed the survey.
The poll of 1,003 adults, including 801 registered voters, was conducted June 15-23. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.0 percentage points for the entire sample and plus or minus 3.5 percentage points for registered voters.
@Jersey: Yes, there are serious matters at play here, but the word "liberal" is a non-sequitur.
It is liberal policies that encourage "understanding" criminals and excusing their behavior instead of simply locking them up.
But anyway, I see your point. So remove "liberal" and insert "democrat," which will now may my observations completely unambiguous.
The regressive party has long used minorities in immoral ways to achieve political gains. Give people something for nothing, get them addicted and used to the idea that they can live reasonably well on someone else’s dime, and they become pliable to leftist rhetoric. How insulting —and yet, a majority of blacks continue to believe the worst of what Democracists tell them about “white America.” It reinforces what despicable men like Farrakhan tell them; it is what they prefer to believe.
But if you change the script … provide a black man who is an extraordinary achiever, particularly if he is a conservative, then the left pulls out all stops and we are once more permitted to see the real progressive movement. Such behavior will disgust a good American; a progressive will gloat as if he or she has really achieved something important.
I'm begining to think there are some people, and i'm not talking about the usual wackos, that are puposely trying to foment civil disorder. so much race warfare talk and so much class warfare talk. There is alway a segment of society that responds to that kind of talk with violence.
I was on one of two high security teams flown into NO two days after the levees broke through after Katrina. During the course of our protective security ops we came across a LA State Trooper who told us that Nagin and his family, after commandeering National Guard transports, had himself, his family, staff and belongings moved to the penthouse of a hotel along with portable generators. Everyone in NO at the time knew this sob abandoned the people. He and the Gov were responsible for not letting the National Guard and FEMA into the city to evacuate residents. He was then, and is now a fraud. WM
This repeated post may seem like a non sequitur, but it it is not. If you want to know how we arrived at the sorry condition that saddens, frightens and enrages us, please continue reading:
Here's a brief out of how we got where we are. Several years ago Linda Kimball provided an excellent summary telling the story of the roots and rise of Cultural Marxism published in 2007 in American Thinker:
http://www.americanthinker.com/2007/02/cultural_marxism.html
Antonio Gramsci was a brilliant malcontent -- the seminal pervert who inspired The Frankfurt School to devise ways to infiltrate the educational system and pollute the minds of young people with Marxian sophistry that appeals easily to humanity's basest instincts.
Cultural Marxism and the Critical Theory [i.e. the tactic of perpetrating relentless, ruthless, unprincipled attacks on the targeted "host" culture either on trumped up pretexts or completely without rhyme or reason] it spawned have so polluted the American Mind over the past eighty-odd years that we who've been around a long while can no longer recognize the land of our birth -- and those of you who haven't have no real idea of who we were.
These unwelcome changes did not occur by accident or by any natural process of "cultural evolution." The Cultural Marxist movement was dreamed up in the minds of a few evil geniuses and took us unawares in the days of our innocence.
Yesterday, I addressed these words to Father Gregori on the gay New York thread:
...the Gay Rights Movement -- and all the other minority "rights" and "liberation" movements -- are examples of the Left exploiting legitimate or quasi-legitimate issues and grievances to further the leftist agenda to take over this once-relatively-free society, and subjugate it to the dictates of an almighty Nanny State dedicated to the proposition that all men and all property belongs inherently to the State to use and dispose of as the State sees fit.
There would be no place for God, for freedom of choice or for individual rights in the society the Left would foist on us by using the pretext of wanting "equal rights for all" as a ploy to give the Marxists enough leverage to gain control.
Those so indoctrinated have been cleverly conditioned -- brainwashed -- to regard truth as falsehood, good as evil, error as righteous, disease as health, insanity as clear-minded thinking, depravity as a healthy expression of individuality, etc. etc. etc.
Leftists don't PRETEND that conservatives and libertarians are wrong, they really BELIEVE it. That's the true horror of it.
That's what nearly a century of intellectual aggression and mass hypnosis by demonically clever fiends, who insidiously took over the field of entertainment, the educational process, and the news and information media, can do to a once-decent people.
Read Linda Kimball's article. It won't solve anything, but at least you'll know some of the reasons why we're in this mess and how we got there.

Neither Democrats nor Republicans, liberals or conservatives, libertarians or socialists, have a cornert on the race and class warfare markets - if, by what you mean is that they all talk about race and class, and that seems to be what you mean.
Never mind real race and class warfare, like the war on drugs or our phony tax "bracket" system. No, no, it's people who talk about race and class, they are the warriors!
It's really silly. It's good talk about race and class. It's healthy, veen if sometimes we don't like, or diasgree with what we hear.

I posted a longer version of his earlier, but the post disappeared into thin air.
Curious!
All I can say to lib-lunacy is contained here;
Everyone needs to learn about Cultural Marxism. The scales should drop from your eyes after reading this article, although hard core leftists are lost souls and impervious to truth.

This may come as no surprise to you, Silver, but I've got to add that our legal system (particularly tort law) contributes to this. Every petty perceived grievance is potentially a viable claim. Our legal system assumes in none-too-subtle ways that citizns deserve to be protected from themselves.
Nagin's a cheap crook like Billy Tauzin, the Landrieu family and the rest of the right wing hacks in Louisiana. The state is a disgrace.
Jackson and Sharpton? Are you serious Colorado? Check out what's going on in city politics once in a while. Jackson couldn't grease Blagojevich to get Jackson's useless son the Senate seat. He's finished and has been for some time.
Sharpton has been a changed man and reasonably positive for several years now.
The "racist" comment was silly and ill informed. However, the gun laws that let inner cities get flooded with untraceable bulk buys from hell holes like Georgia and Virginia have done a lot of damage and inner city cops have a duty to speak out.
But you've got one thing right, with this parade of political morons (right and ersatz left) we have surrendered and are a pretty damn sorry people.
Actually, Country Thinker, our legal system was devised as a yet another way, another check, another balance, against the tyranny of the masses. If anything, many of our founders beleived the courts did not have enough power!
Learn your history, man.
JMJ
Freethinker, your link is to some boilerplate about "God given rights".
The author also doesn't know her arse from her elbow in the matter of Lukacs. Read "The Theory of the Novel" for yourself and start to figure things out.
The "hellholes" of Virginia and Georgia are growing, because of people escaping liberal paradises like Chicago and California.
Your rhetoric is a little overblown, Ducky, but I do admit the corruption is a bipartisan enterprise.
Ducky,
I give you full marks for at least checking out the link. I don't know whether anyone else went that far or not.
I never said the members of the Frankfurt School were not brilliant, or that they never had anything worthwhile to say, but -- as you admitted above --"seizing the culture" was their ambition, and in seizing it, they obviously intended to transform it, and transform it they did.
Those few devilishly clever fellows were obviously very successful in achieving their mission. You, yourself, from most of the many things I've seen you post over a period of years act as a prime example of how throughly they did their work. To all intents and purposes you are one of their devoted disciples.
From the way you behave at conservative websites you act like the classic example of an exponent of Critical Theory -- i.e. The Culture of Critique. Apparently, with rare exceptions, you feel your bounden duty is to attack relentlessly, and never to affirm. That, my friend, is exactly the thing of which the article on Cultural Marxism seeks to make us aware.
If you don't believe in the sanctity of the American Constitution, don't believe in God-given rights, don't believe in American Exceptionalism, don't believe in the innate superiority of Capitalism over other economic systems, and don't recognize the evils inherent in Marxian dialectics and the sophistry designed by Gramsci, the Frankfurters and later Alinsky to sell and implement Marxism by making it less frightening and more seductive and palatable to the unsophisticated middle class, then you are a working part of the very machinery we need desperately need to discredit, defeat and dismantle.
Unlike some of the extremists we've encountered so often at other sites, whose savage, unmodulated ravings border on the comic-grotesque, I have always given you credit for for being intelligent, educated, more aware of the value of high culture than most, and very well read.
I think it much too bad, however, that you were obviously taken in at an early age by the very tactics Linda Kimball outlines quite compellingly in her brief synopsis, and therefore see her as an enemy propagandist and her targets as good guys -- just as I figured you would. I always hope you will surprise me, but Alas! like every other leftist I've ever known, you never do.
As I've observed many times, since I was a lad, the culture has been turned upside down, inside out and backwards, then kicked downstairs, trampled and spat upon. What we once knew as virtue is now regarded either as a hypocritical sham or downright evil -- and so on down the line. I'll spare you and everyone else the litany.
I see you as a worthwhile individual -- someone I might enjoy knowing outside the realm of politics, if we could ever get away from it -- but I'm deeply sorry that a good mind such as yours was long ago conscripted in service to forces inimical to our future as a people and as a nation.

Pfleger? What an alien abductee heathen masquerading as a priest.
Enough to make me reach for m'gun.
A few selected quotations from Thomas Jefferson, who appears never to have said or written a trivial or foolish thing in his public life:
The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time.
Nothing is unchangeable but the inherent and unalienable rights of man.
Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty.
It is always better to have no ideas than false ones; to believe nothing, than to believe what is wrong.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.
I own that I am not a friend to a very energetic government. It is always oppressive.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Well Freethinker, much of what the Frankfurt school found oppressive in capitalist society was also found oppressive by artists and philosophers in communist society.
Seems we might have a very intractable problem.
Some of the funniest critiques are by Yugoslav film maker Dušan Makavejev. His films are surprisingly available and if you have a Netflix account I'd try one of the early ones, Love Affair, or the Case of the Missing Switchboard Operator. Towards the end he really went off the trolley but the early stuff is quite funny with some meaty content.
Try talking to me about film, you'll find me much more relaxed and chatty than I am in the political realm.
